A well implemented 2018 reissue on Demon Records, on pink vinyl.
This is a welcome release on 180g heavyweight vinyl, and the sound quality is excellent. Concerns about crackly coloured vinyl records seem to be a thing of the past, and this sounds great. The actual mastering seems faithful to the original vinyl too, so top marks.
The attention to detail on the packaging is impressive. Publishing details have changed since the original release but at first glance and side by side, you would not notice the difference between 1991 and 2018 versions. Even the subtly erratic typefaces and styles which were used on the original LP are kept faithfully when adding the new details.
The sleeve itself has a nice matt/satin sheen to it and while it isn’t quite as luminous and punchy in the colours as the original glossy sleeve it’s hard to complain.
And did I say it sounds terrific?
