Yes, it's a page of links! Fans, Fan Sites, Industry Contacts, and general freeworld stuff.
Buy stuff from amazon, help to fund freeworld! Buy Kirsty prints from kirstyprints.com, help to fund the Justice For Kirsty Campaign!
Search for Kirsty stuff in the UK or American store.
eBay (searches for all the common mis-spellings as well). Remember that eBay has lots of international outlets and sometimes searching a different region can produce interesting results. Here are some of them...
Alex extols the virtues of Austin rock band Cotton Mather on his "Manchurian" site.
David has a website devoted to "the exploits and listenings of a gay Londoner" and includes his discovery that "He's on the beach" was written about him - no honestly! (well ok, not really...). Read about him and Swish Cottage.
Dawn runs the Union City website in honour of Deborah Harry - well designed, loads of photos, even some of Dawn's cat Lily. Do drop by.
Gilbert Blecken interviews and photographs musicians and has his own web space to showcase his work. One of his photographs of Kirsty is on show on the Freeworld photos page. It's a great shot. There are some excellent and unusual photos on the site - high resolution but worth waiting for.
Gus Kidman runs the mighty Gusworld site, including his Kirsty page. My favourite other bit remains Mighty Morphin' Dannii Minogue, a mega super-heroine with a strange fondness for tight vinyl costumes and mood lighting.
Marty Rudnick places the Beach Boys as his all-time great but Kirsty slots in at #6. He performs in a vocal duo, supports the Giants and like the Rubinoos a lot.
Ross McMichael owns the Kirsty discussion list (see Mailing page), lives in Slough. Enjoy his laydeez and revel in his taste for classic songwriting and movies. Then chat to him online in the Kirsty chat room.
Steve Clarke used to work in BEER, but is now a IT Support Manager. His interests are varied, and have in the past ranged from being the musical director of a couple of musicals at University, playing the Dame in a pantomime, riding his motorbike, drinking, eating and singing to creating levels for Quake and Quake2!
Tim - "Noise Queen, my 'zine from March 1996 to March 2001 (yes, I'm calling it a day - for THIS project, anyway - I mean, I'm sure to do SOMETHING else - maybe write for others - maybe actually write a book or some short stories...who knows?"
Wes Eichenwald "grew tired of marking increasingly more pointless time in a suburb of Boston", packed his bags and moved to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia (though he is now a resident of Austin Texas). His web site is a gathering place for a good deal of the words he's created and images he's captured since moving to Ljubljana. Nothing to sell. Nothing to buy. Just some stuff to read. He has his own tribute page for Kirsty.
"Voice of an Angel" was run from the US by Akoustic. This provided an alternative Kirsty site, including games, guitar tabs and assorted clever things done in Java. Not as comprehensive as Freeworld but a lot of thought was been put into its presentation and design. Unfortunately this site is no longer on the web, though Akoustic has donated his collection of tabs and guestbook entries to Freeworld for posterity.
Galore at Gusworld in Australia, features some unique video details and lots of Kirsty links. It is no longer updated.
"50,000 Lira for my thoughts" from Andrew Rogers in England featured some personal opinions (always good to see) and interview material. This site has also been retired, and its contents donated to Freeworld.
Jase still has his small page about Kirsty as part of his Cd Collection site, though he no longer maintains it.
Visit Mark Nevin's excellent web site.
Later with Jools Holland. Excellent comprehensive site detailing every performance since the show started in 1992. If unfamiliar with the brand, "Later" is the UK's premier live music programme. Eclectic and at times inspirational, it is held together by former Squeeze piano man Jools Holland.
Visit Kirsty's entry on the Top of the Pops 2 website, including a fine photo.
Hux Records are a small independent record company in England, initially releasing a string of BBC Radio Sessions albums. They released "What do pretty girls do?".
Instinct Records are handling the US/ Canada release of "Tropical Brainstorm". are handling the US/ Canada release of "Tropical Brainstorm".
Stiff Records have an excellent new site.
Alix Kirsta has written prominently about the Justice campaign.
Freeworld are allegedly Memphis' tightest jam band! Go see.
Freeworld Massive are (were?) "a fresh band and sound system out of
Manchester, England
Our sound is original and cannot be pigeonholed. Electronica / hip hop / house
/ soul / pop, call us what you want! Genre-specific we are not."
Website no longer online.
