COLLECTORS
The interest with Kirsty's albums tends to lie with the various pressings, reissues and bonus tracks.
Desperate Character
Collecting
DC can become obsessive, since it's pretty
hard to find, and to date unavailable on CD despite an abortive attempt to
reissue it in 2002/3. eBay has helped and the price you might expect to pay
varies enormously from a few dollars to over $70 at its peak! Since it is
common practice to pick up any copies you might come across with the aim of
passing them on (or selling to!) fellow fans, we have seen many different
copies of the vinyl and notice some gleefully pointless differences which
we are proud to offer to those of you with extreme anorak tendencies out there
(You'll need to click on the images to get a readable version though - the
international Desperate Character pressings!)

Some versions have a shiny sleeve, others have a matt (and more easily damaged sleeve) though the artwork is completely identical.
The very rare cassette release!

For the Polydor re-issue entitled Kirsty MacColl the title was simply airbrushed out and everything else unchanged, even omitting to mention musicians featured on the three additional tracks. There is however an extremely rare promo release with two bonus tracks - Sleepless Nights and Man with No Name.
Kite
On the original Canadian vinyl pressing of Kite, the label copy on this release has two mistakes in terms of songwriting credits: Days is credited to Raymond B. Davies (rather than to Raymond D. Davies), and Tread Lightly is credited solely to Kirsty MacColl (instead of to Kirsty MacColl and Pete Glenister). Source: KS
Tropical Brainstorm
