Tot was the man behind the Compact Organisation, which brought a little small label pop sunshine into the post punk world of the late 70s/ early 80s. Alongside Tot's own work and hit maker Mari Wilson (still very much on the go in Girl Talk with Barb Jungr and Claire Martin) the label featured a wide roster of artists including Virna Lindt, the Beautiful Americans, Fontana Mix and the Popheads. The connection to Kirsty is that she sang backing vocals on Tot's single The girl with everything, plus a track on his album Playtime. So Kirsty was almost a Compact girl, and nowadays Tot can be found in his Riflemaker Gallery in London.
Kirsty sang backing vocals on the album Cartwheels.
